Home Sweet Home

So our journey has finally come to an end.  After 7 months and over 19,000 miles of traveling around the US and neighboring countries, we are now back in lovely Pennsylvania for the holidays.  We’re excited to be home but also nervous since we’re now expected to be responsible adults once again.  It’s time to relax but we also plan to get caught up on all the things we’ve been putting off.  One of these being updating the blog with stories of the many adventures we’ve had while traveling.  Aside from writing, we have more than 10,000 photos to review and edit to go along with our stories.  We’ve got a lot to share, so stay tuned!

  1. My husband and I also want to do a road trip through the U.S./world trip! I would love to hear from you re: tips on things you would do differently now and also about your favorite spots! Thanks for writing!

Thanks for checking out our blog! I swear we are going to write more about our trip 🙂 How long are you planning on traveling and are you going to camping/hiking a lot on the trip?

One thing I wish we had done is to plan some spots to stop and rest for a week. Believe it or not, it can get pretty stressful traveling for so long. Having to plan where we were going to sleep, what we were going to eat, and where we were going next became quite stressful after a few months. It doesn’t need to be a hotel, but having a planned week off every once in a while would have reduced some stress. It depends on how long you are going to be traveling though.
